Learning to Write
"What am I going to get my dad for Father's Day?"
"Let me think."
"I know--I'll write him a story!"
"Wait, this typewriter doesn't work!"
"I think a smile will work instead!"

Learning to Listen
Each morning I try to slip in a short violin practice while Julia is hanging out on the changing table. She's starting to roll a little, especially when listening to music, so she's strapped in, forced to listen to me play!
She looks happy, though. Is that because the music has stopped?
I've noticed she is now as long as an adult-sized violin. Can't wait to get Julia her own!

Learning to Look (Part 2)
"If you look deeply into the palm of your hand, you will see all the generations of your family. All of them are present in this moment, with our every smile, in our laughter and the peace which lies within us."

Learning to Mark
Birthmarks, that is...
...are yet another thing to make Julia unique.
...are yet another thing to make Julia unique.
"Stork bites" on the forehead between the eyes are supposed to go away within a year.
"Strawberry marks" by her bottom lip will disappear by the time she reaches the double digits.
No matter how long these marks stay, there's no doubt Julia will continue to make her mark in this world!
